NICK JENKINS: Operations Manager

Nick’s Commercial Construction Industry experience and skill set will be a welcome addition to our team as he has a wide ranging depth of project management experience. He has worked on projects both here in Australia and in the UK ranging from small $1 million dollar projects through to leading a team on projects worth $60 – $70 million.

Nick has accumulated a broad range of experience in the construction industry here in Australia and in the United Kingdom over the last 14 years. During the last 3 ½ years Nick was employed with Broad Construction Services Pty Ltd as a Project Manager, more recently working on the Leighton Contractors Pty Ltd, Broad Construction Services Pty Ltd, Ngarda Civil and Mining Pty Ltd & Opus Pty Ltd New Future Alliance in Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory for (SIHIP) Strategic Indigenous Housing & Infrastructure Programme.

From 2008 to 2009 he was based in Port Hedland, Western Australia working for Broad Construction Services Pty Ltd. From 2004 to 2008, Nick worked on a range of projects in the United Kingdom for Silverdell (UK) PLC, Mansell PLC and ISG Interior Exterior PLC.

Prior to this Nick, worked on a range of Design and Construct projects in the South West of Western Australia specialising in tilt up construction of wineries.

JOE FARRANT: Business Development

Joe joined the KMC Group Estimating team in January 2008 in the position of Estimator. In this position, Joe worked closely with the Business Development Manager and Senior Estimator to identify, coordinate, complete and submit tenders on behalf of the KMC Group Construction division.

Joe has completed his Bachelors Degree in Construction Management and Economics, and is qualified as a Quantity Surveyor.

Utilising his previous experience in a variety of roles within the Construction industry along with the skills developed through his Bachelors Degree, Joe has been successful in submitting and securing a portfolio of construction tenders / contracts for the KMC Group.

SIMON AMOS: Senior Executive

Simon has recently joined KMC with expertise in Directing and Executive General Management of major developments and programmes across Australia.

A registered builder in WA and a Chartered Builder (Chartered Member of The Australian Institute of Building), Simon not only has practical building and construction experience but has completed his MBA Degree in Business Administration specialising in Information Systems at the University of Southern Queensland. He also has won various awards during his career.

His wealth of knowledge of the Construction Industry and Management makes him an asset. His skills in strategic growth, direction and abilities to introduce structured risk management programmes are pivotal to the KMC Group.

JOHN THOMPSON: Senior Estimator

John has recently joined KMC as Senior Estimator, having expertise in Quantity Surveying and Estimating. As a registered builder in WA and affiliate with the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors, he has practical, hands on experience within the industry.

Over his career, John has held estimating, quantity surveying and contracts administration positions for many projects in the UK and Australia for both commercial and residential projects.

His wealth of knowledge of the Construction Industry and Estimating, has found John an expert at preparing estimates and cost analysis of budgets. He has skills in liaising with sub-contractors and suppliers to obtain good and best pricing.

John’s experience in project management, preparation of tenders and site set-ups, makes him excellent in knowing what goes on “behind the scenes” on projects; he is fully able to engage with consultants, sub-contractors and suppliers.

ANGELO TATULLI: Director

Angelo graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1975 with a Bachelor of Commerce. He started his career as an auditor with Peat Marwick Mitchell (now KPMG) in early 1976 and over the next eight years he was promoted to senior audit manager. During this time he was involved in a number of investigations, mergers and acquisitions of building and construction companies.

In 1985 he established his own Chartered Accountancy public practice providing accounting, taxation, finance and business management advice and services to a broad range of clients many of whom were in the building and construction industry.
In July 1985, Angelo set up in conjunction with other business partners a plasterboard wall and ceilings contracting business servicing the residential building market. This business has now grown to be arguably the largest privately owned plasterboard wall and ceiling contracting business in Western Australia. Since those early days this business has expanded and now incorporates other contracting businesses such as commercial walls & ceilings, waterproofing, an electrical contracting business and a building products supply business with offices in Western Australia & Queensland.

In 2007, Angelo, in conjunction with a group of investors, established WA Commercial Constructions Pty Ltd and acquired the business of known as KMC Group. In 2009 the other investors sold their interest in WA Commercial Constructions Pty Ltd to Angelo’s investment vehicle.
Over the years Angelo has been involved in numerous property development projects and has been involved in and provided advice in relation to property development, property financing and property portfolios.
